Teen Projects

At the CDA, we appreciate students who want to volunteer. It’s a great way to get volunteer hours while making a difference in your community.

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Organize a Drive for the CDA – You can pick between Back to School, Essentials, Santa Shop, or our Book Drive. As the organizer, you would get a list of needed items and encourage your friends, neighbors, classmates, clubs and teams to donate to your drive. Make your own flyer, send out a text message, create a TikTok or whatever you think will inspire others to join you. Set up a collection site and deadline to accept donations. Once your collection is over bring the donations to the CDA. Contact Volunteer Coordinator Rebecca Hampson at rhampson@cdakids.org to arrange drop off of your donations and sign off on your volunteer hours.
  • Make Teacher Appreciation Kits – This is a great project for you to do by yourself or with a group of friends. Visit the Teacher Appreciation page for ideas and suggestions for what to include in your kits. You’ll need to complete 35 matching gifts. Create a sign up for all the items you want to include and share it with your friends. Once all the items are collected you can host a party to fill the bags and write notes of encouragement.  Once your gifts are complete contact Volunteer Coordinator Rebecca Hampson at rhampson@cdakids.org to arrange drop off and sign off on your volunteer hours.
