
The Children’s Development Academy (CDA) is a nonprofit preschool based in Roswell, Georgia providing high-quality early learning programs to children from low-income families in North Metro Atlanta since 1967.
The CDA serves about 230+ children each year, providing full-day early childhood education in the CDA Children’s Center. This facility has ten vibrant classrooms—seven for Toddlers and Preschoolers and three for the Georgia Pre-K program, with well-qualified teachers.

1-3 Year Old Enrollment Information
Our Georgia Quality-Rated & NAEYC-accredited program for 1-3 year olds includes:
- The Creative Curriculum promoting cognitive, physical, language and social development
- Wholesome nutrition, including breakfast, lunch and a snack each day
- Developmental screenings throughout the year to monitor each child’s progress
- Parent-child conferences twice a year to inform parents about their child’s progress and to engage them in their son or daughter’s education
- Enrichment activities such as in-house field trips, cultural performances and nature explorations
- Family advocacy services and an early literacy program
- Beautifully equipped, tree-shaded playground that includes a walking trail, gazebo and active play equipment
- We are open 7am – 6pm, Monday – Friday

Georgia Pre-K 2025-2026 Enrollment Information
The CDA operates three Georgia Pre-K classes. Registration for the CDA’s Georgia Pre-K Program is now open.
Program Highlights
- NAEYC-Accredited and Georgia Quality Rated Program
- Experienced certified lead teachers
- Instructional day is 6 1/2 hours: 8:30am-3:00 pm
- Before and After Care offered from 7:00-8:00am and/or 3:00-6:00pm for a small weekly fee
- Focus on early literacy skills
- Free nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack included
- Located in Roswell, within walking distance of a MARTA bus stop
- Beautifully equipped, tree-shaded playground that includes a walking trail, gazebo and active play equipment
Requirements:
- Child must be four years old on or before September 1, 2025 to qualify
- Certified copy of the child’s birth certificate, proof of Georgia residency and social security card/social security waiver at registration
