2017 Priority Needs

With a fundraising goal of $100,000 for 2017, Illuminate will support these vital initiatives at the CDA:

Scholarships – CDA families have a median household income of $19,200, 20% of the metro Atlanta’s median household income. The scholarship program enables the children of the most economically disadvantaged families in our community to receive a quality education that is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is the highest accreditation that any preschool can attain. Thanks to scholarships that are awarded based on household size and income, CDA is able to offer a median tuition of just $88 per week.

Teachers’ Initiative – CDA’s teachers are the core of the organization. The Teachers’ Initiative ensures CDA has the resources to provide competitive salaries, ongoing professional development, planning and training opportunities. This ensures our children receive consistent, nurturing care by talented, highly qualified teachers.

Any Given Need Fund – The CDA Community Center is a 33,000 square foot building that can be expensive to operate and maintain. While the CDA budgets for general maintenance needs each year, there are still deferred and unforeseen maintenance needs that go unfunded. These needs are nearly impossible to fund through public or private grants. Without these funds, the CDA cannot operate a safe and well-ordered facility for its children, teachers and staff.
